Santa bought Kim a flight to Florida to see her mom January 25th-January 28th.
Since she was gone and I had to cook and do dishes for three days, Kylie and I took the opportunity to not eat so healthy.
On Thursday night I made killer pizzas at Cucinova. Kylie even did the dishes.
On Friday night, Kylie wanted to pig out so I was inspired by BW3’s and made mozarrella sticks, loaded nachos, buffalo wings, onion rings, a Wisconsin Cheese Curd hamburger with fries. It was a pretty good dinner. Kylie and I had a good conversation about life and school and all that. Kylie even volunteered to do the dishes again.
Yes, our kitchen looks just like BW3’s.
On Saturday night, we went to McKenzie River, a place I had never been to.
I meant I made dinner inspired by McKenzie River menu. See, even have the menu on the table. Our daughter from another mother came along, Kylie’s BFF Brinley. I meant she came over to the house while I cooked. She is like family. Not much conversation with Kylie and I but it is always fun to just watch those two interact and laugh.
I made some really good chicken tenders, fries, hamburger with pulled pork on it. It was delicious. Since Kylie had company, I did the dishes.
I hope to get back to writing today. I have written some things but have not finished them yet. Maybe I will reblog some old stuff in the mean time. Been a busy week.
I was trying to get another post ready bu today for Christmas but been busy and could not finish it. Maybe I can finish it tonight and do a very rare Saturday/weekend post, but if not, this will be the last one before Christmas. Merry Christmas and I pray you have safe travels if you are out and about.
I believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God and my lord and savior. I believe that Mary was a virgin who gave birth to the savior of the world. I believe that Jesus was born in a little town called Bethlehem. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins. I believe that He rose on the third day. I believe that Jesus will come back again.
I believe that Jesus is the light in this dark world. I believe in God the Father. I believe in the Holy Spirit. I believe You are three in one. I believe that You are love.
I believe in You. I believe in You. I believe in You.
Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, how many presents under your branches are for me?
How many presents are under the tree for Jesus? It is his birthday. He is the reason for the season.
What presents can you give to Jesus you wonder? There are many and I bet you have never thought of them. Maybe some of you are giving Him these presents every day. Maybe some of you give them one day and take them back the next.
Present one: trust. Do you give him all your trust? Do you trust him even when things are going bad? Do you trust his plans for your life? Do you trust him completely, 100%? If not, maybe this year is the year you give him the present of your trust.
Present two: your heart. Do you give him your heart? Does he come first in your heart? What does your heart treasure the most? That new job promotion? Your wife? Your football team? This season put Jesus first in your heart.
Present three: love people. Do you truly love others? Do you know your neighbor’s names? Have you forgiven those that have hurt you? Have you reached out to people that may not know about Jesus? Do you live your life that will lead other people to Jesus? Are you making disciples?
Present four: family. Is Jesus part of your family? Do you talk to him like you do your spouse or children? Do you share with him your heart? Do other members of your family treat him like he is part of the family?
Present five: time. How much of your time have you given Jesus today? Have you set any time out of your busy day to just spend with him? Five minutes of quiet time with just you and him? Two minutes? One ?
This post was inspired by a devotional I read that really spoke to me so I wanted to share it with you.
What other gifts can you think of that you can give to Jesus? Not only on Christmas but every day.

I don’t know why but The Little Drummer Boy has always been my favorite Christmas song. Maybe it is the simplicity of it, one verse then pa rum pum pum pum, then one verse and pa rum pum pum pum etc. Maybe it’s the meaning of it, which to me is the true meaning of being a Christian.
Jesus was born, a gift to us. He was born to die. He sacrificed Himself for our sins. Because of His birth, and then His death, we can live forgiven. A gift given knowing that we could not repay it. We can come to him no matter who we are or where we are from. No matter what we look like, dress like, what kind of car we drive or whatever home we live in. Come as you are! A little shepherd boy came with the only gift he had, he could play his drum for him. He played his best for him. Then Jesus smiled at him. Jesus wants us to believe in Him and accept Him into our hearts.
Maybe it is the message from the last scene of the cartoon. Jesus changed his heart of hate to a heart of love. Take the time to watch the last five minutes here :
Come they told me, pa rum pum pum pum
A new born King to see, pa rum pum pum pum
Our finest gifts we bring, pa rum pum pum pum
To lay before the King, pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,
So to honour Him, pa rum pum pum pum,
When we come.
Five five five five five five what rum
five five five five five five what rum
five five five five five five what rum
five five five ahh
Little Baby, pa rum pum pum pum
I am a poor boy too, pa rum pum pum pum
I have no gift to bring, pa rum pum pum pum
That’s fit to give a king, pa rum pum pum
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,
Shall I play for you, what five five five rum,
On my drum?
(five five five-part)
Mary nodded, pa rum pum pum pum
The ox and lamb kept time, pa rum pum pum pum
I played my drum for Him, pa rum pum pum pum
I played my best for Him, pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,
(pum pum pum part)
Then He smiled at me, pa rum pum pum pum
Me and my drum.
