I usually would do these on Friday’s and have 5-10 grouped together. This year, I plan on doing one a day until Christmas Eve to make it a little easier for you to listen to one, instead of 5-10 at once.
I connected with Joel Vaughn on Facebook somehow. He is very talented and has a new song called Already Done rising up the charts. His new cd is due out in January, you can preorder today. Check out the song.
However, I am posting his new Christmas song, Like A Kid On Christmas Morning. Take a listen.
As an added Christmas bonus, I included Already Done after Like A Kid On Christmas Morning.
Verse 1
Am I the only one who is struggling here (“kinda struggling”?)
To have an attitude full of Christmas cheer (get rid of “full”)
After the crazy kind of year we’ve had
Maybe it’s the stress of the crowded stores
And trying to buy gifts that I can’t afford
I know this season’s so much more than that
Pre chorus
So i’m choosing here and now to see
What this day is all about to me
Chorus
I still feel the wonder of that story
How you came down from heaven as a baby
And I’m still so amazed at Your love for me
And when I think about it, even now I
feel like a kid on Christmas morning
Verse 2
I can see it all now in my memories
Waking up early running to the tree
Tearing that paper so that I could my see my gifts
Then the family would read Luke chapter 2
About Mary and Joseph and what they went through
And the infant King who would make things new again
Pre chorus 2
And even though so many years have passed
In my heart I still hold on to that
Bridge
There’s a child inside of all of us
And the gift we really need is love
Chorus
I still feel the wonder of that story
How you came down from heaven as a baby
And I’m still so amazed at Your love for me
And when I think about it, even now I
feel like a kid on Christmas morning
