Some people get all the talent. I just want a little musical talent to compose my songs. I don’t have to sing them

I feel you pain, Robert. Actually, for some reason I assumed you were a musician.
There is a raging torrent of musical talent in my family. Some of my kin are for real musicians. My own kids have it too. I had never sung a note in public until I was 45 years old. I’m not really good, but people don’t run in fear either. I can sing along with a group okay, but really have a hard time staying on melody by myself sometimes LOL. I don’t read music, so that is hard. About the only thing I have going for me is I am very enthusiastic when I do sing alone, and apparently that compensates somewhat for lack of actual talent.
You compose, really. Poems are just songs written in prose if you think about it. I hope someday you can actually write one. Dreams are nice to have.

Well if any of your kin want to try to put some music to my words let’s talk. My goal is to get 5 -6 songs done and send out to see if any artists that are signed already want to pick them up. I just can’t afford to do it myself. Of course I would give them credit and if any were to be picked up they would get royalties but that’s a big if.

Well, that’s the sad part. Neither one of them play anymore. All the talent and little interest, but thanks

My kids I mean. They gave it up. Guess mom and Dad messed them up some. You need to head to Nashville, songwriting capitol of the world they say.
